We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of Taunton Town Football Club’s home shirt for the 2020-21 season.

We work exclusively with aspirational organisations, which made the decision to support Taunton Town FC a very quick and easy decision for us. We’ve been sponsoring the club since 2016 with goal announcements and board advertising, but this is the first time we’ll have our name proudly appearing on the front of the home shirt.

The shirt will be available to purchase soon, which will not only support our local football club, but also Love Musgrove, the official charity of Musgrove Park Hospital, who will receive £5 for every home and away shirt sold.

In their official announcement, Chairman, Kevin Sturmey said: “I am delighted that Matt Portt has agreed to become our main shirt sponsor for next season. In these difficult times it was a huge relief when Matt offered to invest more into the club. Portt & Co came on board during the epic FA Cup run of 2016 and has been a loyal sponsor ever since while Matt’s experience has also been vital in giving us a different perspective by seeing the club through a sponsors and business person’s eyes. We have a catch up every year and each year Matt helps me see things differently.

Portt & Co have been our Goal Gif sponsor on Twitter for a few seasons and there will also be an announcement about this soon as there will be a new sponsor this season thanks to Matt. I always enjoy discussing the future with Matt as he is innovative and forward thinking, having experience of working for a Football League club in the past so has great knowledge of football ‘behind the scenes’. He is also going to help us with some of our off-field activities as the new normal is going to be very different to the old ways.

Thanks Matt, we look forward to next season when it is safe to start and continuing to build a long-lasting partnership to help us achieve our goals.”

Speaking on our sponsorship, Matt Portt founder of Portt & Co, said: “We are proud to align ourselves with such a well-run club in the heart of our hometown. The 2020-21 season is going to be filled with uncertainty, but in all walks of life, uncertainty creates opportunity and Rob has assembled a great team by moving early in the close season, which was only possible due to the club being on solid footings. We see Taunton as a brilliant base to serve our own national aspirations and this opportunity allows us to help the town’s Football Club in their goal of getting into the National Leagues. I’m confident that the coming season will be a successful one for the team and we are looking forward to forming a deeper collaboration with the club.”
